Seattle Waterfront Restoration

The Seattle Waterfront campaign seized a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a landmark space that celebrates and honors our past. It allows all who live in Seattle to experience the best the city has to offer today, while also allowing us to look forward with excitement to tomorrow.

The campaign ensures that we don’t just create another green space, but establish something truly special for our community.

Through a stunning 20 acres along our shoreline, Waterfront Park will reconnect Seattle with the water that has always been at the heart of our city. Waterfront Park will integrate the waterfront with the bustling downtown core, Pike Place Market, the Seattle Aquarium’s new Ocean Pavilion, and the historic neighborhoods that surround it.

This dynamic, connective park will create spaces for people to rest, reflect, and revel in nature; lift up our thriving arts and culture community with performances and programming; and remain a free and accessible destination for children and families, visitors from across the region, and tourists from across the globe.

Our work included development of the overall campaign strategy, coordinating with local communities, development of creative and digital assets and management of digital media spending and reporting. The successful result of the campaign came through a mixture of public funding, private contributions and a new limited tax zone.  The park will open in 2024.
